Stock Checker – New Affiliate Tool

Stock CheckerWe have just started to use this excellent new tool available to anyone that wants to show the stock status of a product that they are promoting. Stock Checker allows you to place a small piece of code onto your site in order to display the stock status of the product to the visitor.

How many times have people visited your site clicked on a link only to find the item out of stock. They then choose another only to find the same. This might sound good initially as cookies are being dropped, BUT, this doesn’t enhance the experience the user has on your site. This can only damage your sites reputation. Far better to present the visitor with a list of products with an indication of stock status. This is far more likely to result in a sale.

So, in light of this, there are currently two membership options available to you, a Free account or a paid membership. The free option allows you to have this function on up to two websites. This is an ideal option that lets you get to grips with the system and to see the benefit it gives your visitors.

We are currently using this excellent tool on our Panasonic TH37PX80B Price checker site. We are also using it on our PlayStation 3 site, using a different set of images to show the stock status. These sites both use the IMG option to display the stock status. This is only available on the paid for service.

Our Halloween Gift Shop has been setup using the iFrame option with CSS styling. This option isn’t quite so obvious but it can be made to stand out more than we have using the CSS formatting. This option also takes longer than the paid for IMG option because each link is checked each time the page is displayed.

So, we suggest you take a look at Stock Checker and try it on your sites.

You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

Thanks for the great feedback. As you’re aware, there are plenty of things which I’m working on with including adding merchants who do things slightly differently to everyone else and also adding real time price checking.

Thanks again for the great feedback

I look forward to test out the price checking in the near future.
